It is used across industries such as civil service, oil and gas, construction, IT, banking, engineering, marketing to name a few and can be applied to any type of project within any industry sector.
The method is widely recognised and understood and so provides a common vocabulary for all those involved in a project, which helps effective communication. The method also provide for the explicit recognition of project responsibilities so that participants understand each other’s roles and needs. There is a defined structure for accountability, delegation, authority and communication.
Whatever the industry, company size, project size or even methods already in use, you can tailor PRINCE2® to work effectively.
The 7 PRINCE2® modules:
Starting up a project
Initiating a project
Directing a project
Controlling a stage
Managing stage boundaries
