Where can your English language teaching career take you next? We’re looking at the skills you can gain post CELTA in order to take your career to the next level.

 

For CELTA graduates with less than one year’s teaching experience: 

 

We recommend our Saturday Series of training courses. The perfect way to refresh your English language teaching skills in your spare time. Available either online or face-to-face, we’re covering a variety of topics, the Saturday series of courses are perfect for recent CELTA graduate, however they are informative and useful for teachers at any point of their teaching journey.

If you’re looking to upgrade your skills and gain a little more expertise teaching younger students, this course is for you. This face-to-face course takes place over two Saturdays in our London school.

Develop or refine your one-to-one teaching skills in this online course. Perfect adapting class structure and material for a one-to-one context.

For CELTA graduates with more than one year’s teaching experience: 

 

Teaching Grammar 

Take an in depth look at English grammar during this week long course. Develop your skills for the future and get fresh ideas for working with grammar in your classes. Explore different approaches to teaching grammar and discussing the strengths and weaknesses of each one. Gain new ideas and understand how to teach grammar in creative ways.

 

Materials Development

In this week long course, trainees will explore the theories of language learning and teaching, and how they influence the development of materials. This practical and interactive course aims to develop a principled approach to the evaluation of materials, both published and self-made, so that your materials are informed by SLA theories, principles and your beliefs as a teacher. This course includes many workshops where you will work with your fellow teachers to create, evaluate and adapt materials based on the needs of your students.

 

NEW
Practical Teacher
(With Trinity CertPT)

Gain a level 6 Trinity qualification, and develop your skills in developing resources, practical ideas and methods to liven up classrooms and motivate students. The practical teacher course can be taken both with and without the Trinity Cert PT qualification.
